- Short: Plays YAFA animations on a CyberGfx board
- Uploader: mfides@readysoft.es (Miguel Fides)
- Author: mfides@readysoft.es (Miguel Fides)
- Requires: CyberGfx, XPK user kit,
-
- CyberYAFA 0.1 beta
-
- This mini-player can show any YAFA format animation on any CyberGfx board (it uses only 8bit-modes)
- Dont expect it to support every YAFA sub-format, to be too fast or complete in any manner.
- It is very stable, though.
-
- It is being developed in my A4000/030 2+16MB + CyberVision64
-
- Features:
-
- - It plays from Disk.
- - It uses automatic ScreenMode selection via cybergraphics.library
- - It uses std XPK and iffparse for decoding/unpacking
-
- Bugs/Limitations:
-
- - It cant be stopped. You have to wait until animations finishes.
- - It is not very fast. Mainly because the high level functions and sync-io loading.
- - It reads but ignores anim-type so only "chunky XPK" can be used.
- - It runs as fast as possible. With a 060 will surely mean too fast.
-
- Where to find some YAFA animations:
-
- - You can download a bunch of nice animations from aminet/demo/tp95/DATAWORLD.
- It is also on the AminetCD 11. The demo is conveniently splitted in several files to keep
- the sizes as low as possible.
-
- Well, it is only a sunday-evening project but it really works. I always wanted more animations
- to be displayed on the CyberVision, no boring Dbl-slow-scaned AGA, so when recently YAFA docs were
- uploaded to aminet I said: Its easy!
